During my early childhood and teen years, my grandmother’s group home for seniors with early-stage dementia first presented me the opportunity to serve our senior population. This became my commitment and life path. Singing with my family cultivated my gifts of music, which were further enhanced through choirs and musical theatre productions. The cherished music of the ’20s, ’30s, ’40s, and ’50s has always held a special place in my heart.

For over a Sixteen years, I was an activity director in senior long term care and now hold a position as an Administrator for an Assistance in Living Retirement Community.  Being a Certified Executive for Assisted Living, nationally accredited activity director with a specialty in memory care, Education, and Assisted Living, and certified dementia practitioner, I know how to effectively engage audiences with varying abilities and cognitive challenges using various approaches such as music that is familiar and meaningful.  My passion is to enrich the lives of older adults.

​

My track-accompanied song sets are based on seasons, holidays, specific composers, and singers to fit your programming needs. I incorporate interesting facts about each song or composer along with era appropriate clothing, accessories, hair, and makeup. Hundreds of song options are available to be mixed and matched to meet your audience’s preferences. All necessary sound equipment is provided. I also work with the professional pianist, Duane Carlson, who is available as an accompanist, upon request.

One of my life's dreams has always been to sing with a Big Band Orchestra. This dream came true from 2016 to 2018 when I became the female vocalist for the Massillon Musical Memories Orchestra. We performed throughout Stark County and northeast Ohio showcasing Great Hits made famous by The Glenn Miller Orchestra, The Tommy Dorsey Band, Count Basie Orchestra, and many more!
